Geoff Kingston obtained his Bachelor and PhD degrees from the Australian National University. Before moving to Macquarie University in 2009, he lectured at the University of Western Ontario, the University of Queensland the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. He has published in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Economic Journal, the International Economic Review, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, the Journal of Pension Economics and Finance, the Journal of Monetary Economics and the Journal of Public Economics. His co-authored book on superannuation was published in 2001 by Cambridge University Press. In addition to superannuation Geoff’s research interests include exchange rates, interest rates and tax policy. His recent consulting assignments have included expert evidence on investments to the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Medical Research and Compensation Foundation (the James Hardie inquiry) and research into retirement income policy on behalf of the CPA.
