Dr. Hao Tan has a Doctor of Business Administration awarded from Macquarie University with a Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for Excellence in Postgraduate Research. He is an author of several award-winning papers, and has published in leading academic journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change and the Journal of Business Research.Dr. Tan currently works as a Research Associate at Macquarie Graduate School of Management and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Business. During the past three years he had worked with Prof. John Mathews on an Australian Research Council Large Discovery Project ‘cyclical industrial dynamics and strategy’. He has also heavily engaged in research on development of renewable energies, industrial ecology and sustainability. Recently Dr. Tan has worked as a Supervisor on a global research project initiated by McKinsey & Company and London School of Economics evaluating management practices across countries.
Prior to studying and working in Australia, Dr. Tan had worked in China as a management consultant, and as a project management specialist & lecturer at Huawei Technologies, a leading Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer.
