Profile

I have over three years of experience in full-time teaching and research. Prior to that, I was a casual tutor. I have also worked as a consultant in Tata group of companies (India), where I was assigned to a team in order to analyse business strategies and devise new strategies for various businesses.

Research Interests

My research interests are in the area of financial accounting and auditing.

My Masters thesis examined the impact of accounting policy choice on U.S. investment in Australian firms. My PHD examines the impact of regulation on foreign companies’ choice of listing (or raising capital) on international stock exchanges. I examine this relationship in the pre-SOX and post-SOX period. This research has regulatory implications and implications for investors who trade on these exchanges.

Teaching

I have a broad range of experience in teaching undergraduate students in financial accounting. I have obtained strong teaching evaluations for the courses taught till date, and have received very positive feedback from the students.
