Thesis Title
Monetary Reformers, Amateur Idealists and Keynesian Crusaders: Australian Economists' International Advocacy, 1925-1950. (Awarded 2000)
Abstract
The thesis examines attempts by Australian economists to shape international institutions and policies in the inter-war and immediate post-WW2 years. It contains an analysis of the Keynesian revolution in Australia and its propagation overseas during a period in which the conceptual instruments of macroeconomics were coming under increasing pressure.
